The Maintenance/Facilities division at Disneyland Resort is looking for individuals who have experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing heavy, industrial machinery.
"Outside Machinists" (maintenance mechanics) work on the Disneyland Resort attractions and ride vehicles. This position performs functional checks, troubleshooting, overhauling, maintenance, repair, and alteration of systems and equipment, and conducts quality checks of completed work on attractions and ride vehicles.
(Those with only automobile-maintenance experience may not qualify due to the industrial-level mechanical experience required.)

$1,500 Hiring Bonus for Outside Machinist
$1,500 Hiring Bonus (First payment after 90 days = $375 and Second payment after 150 days = $1,125)
To be eligible for the sign-on bonus, Cast Members must be in the position continuously for at least 90 days after hire and be employed by The Walt Disney Company at time of payment. A Cast Member is hired after the successful completion of Disney Traditions or one full day of employment. To be eligible for an incentive bonus after 150 days, cast members must remain employed in the position continuously for at least 150 days and be employed by The Walt Disney Company at the time of payment. Payments will be made approximately two weeks after the 90 and 150-day milestones, respectively. Bonus payments are subject to applicable taxes and other legal withholding. Disputes concerning eligibility to a bonus payment shall be resolved by Disneyland Recruitment in its sole and absolute discretion. The incentives offered herein are subject to change at any time, with or without notice. Cast Members hired prior to January 01, 2023 or after July 01, 2023 will not be eligible for an incentive award.
Basic Qualifications:
Schedule Availability- Shifts are typically at night, and individuals must have availability to work Sunday through Saturday, any shift (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift) including holidays, and must be open to any days off.
- Ability to use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and basic tools required of a machinist
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Familiarity with alignment of pumps and shafts
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Familiarity with the use of PCs
- Ability to use fall protection, boatswain’s chair, power scaffold, and positioning equipment
- Experience in the use of customary shop equipment such as a drill press, hydraulic press, grinders, sanders, band saws
- Experience with hoists, lifting and jacking devices, powered carts (Mules), man lifts and lift trucks
- Ability to safely climb ladders, stairs, and structures, and for those assigned to the Disney California Adventure Park, must be able to work at heights of 200 feet above the ground
Additional Information:
The pay rate for this role in California is $32.52 to $41.31 per hour. The base pay actually offered follows the minimum wage from the pay scale agreed upon in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement and may also vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.Those assigned to this position are required to attend annual Respiratory Protection Training and Hearing Conservation Training classes. They are also required to participate in an annual audiometric exam, medical evaluation and fit test.
