Parade Support / Show Services Driver- Seasonal, Disneyland Resort

There are many guest service and entertainment roles in which our Cast Members bring Disney dreams to life. From our enchanted Theme Parks and world-class hotels to our spectacular shows and beloved characters, Disneyland® Resort Cast Members have a world of opportunity, and take pride in turning dreams into realities. Parade Support Divers assists the Entertainment Division with delivery of supplies and backstage support of parades and shows. Support may include, but is not limited to driving floats in parades and barges in water shows, loading and unloading performers on floats and assembling props.

Parade Support Drivers receive a starting pay rate of $11.60 per hour.


Backstage support for parades and selected shows which may include the following:
  • Tow driving (includes guiding floats)
  • Driving floats Backstage
  • Loading and unloading performers on floats (pushing and pulling large rolling ladders, climbing onto floats to fasten safety belts, etc.)
  • Assisting with props (i.e. carrying large water coolers, prop control for parades, moving other carts around using an electric cart)
  • Traffic control

    On Stage support for parades and selected shows
  • Float driving (may be required to wear character costumes or a costume, wig, and/or make-up if visible to Guests)
  • Driving barge for water shows

    Backstage support for special events both on and off property
  • Setup and strike equipment for shows

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid Driver License
  • No moving violations on driving record within the past 12 months
  • Maintain good driving record both on the job and in his/her private life
  • Receptive to be enrolled in the DMV Pull Notice Program
  • Receptive to working in outdoor conditions with heat, cold and all types of weather
  • Receptive to working in small, tight spaces
  • This role is Seasonal and requires full availability for any shift, a MINIMUM of THREE (3) days per week, including nights and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous entertainment industry experience preferred
  • Previous bus driving experience preferred
  • Previous tractor trailer or semi tractor trailer driving experience preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Full availability for any shift, seven (7) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays is preferred

Additional Information

Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am.
