Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics (CIMA) is part of the Global Marketing & Sales organization within Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. CIMA influences decision making with integrated, objective, and actionable insights. Within CIMA, the Consumer Insight team drives value by developing a deep understanding of consumers and Guests that is leveraged to identify improvement opportunities and influence key strategies across the business.

In this position, you will report to the Manager, Insight Integration, for integration and representation responsibilities for all CIMA functions (CI, Analytics, Optimization) as part of a team of single points of contact with key businesses, collaborating with cross-functional partners to analyze consumer insights and business performance analytics to help shape the future of the business. Serve as a critical thought partner on complex business issues; deliver insightful consumer, competitive and marketplace analyses.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of Manager, Insight Integration, evaluates business performance, specific marketing and sales initiatives, and long term planning strategies for high visibility assignments in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Requires moderate oversight to analyze information and collaborate with a spectrum of cross-functional teams to synthesize complex data points, creating compelling communications that drive positive business results. Makes business recommendations to Manager, Insight Integration, and CIMA executives for consideration and approval. Uses discretion, knowledge and experience to make decisions regarding less complex and more reoutine issues. Surfaces recommendations and gains approval for more complex and high visability business issues.

  • Guide cross-functional efforts to integrate and synthesize economic data, marketing and sales analytics, business performance, market research, and other sources of insight
  • Lead translation of insight into actionable, business-driving strategies through critical interpretation of data and strategic thinking
  • Create succinct communications that frame decisions for leadership
  • Foster relationships with external and internal partners, including multiple levels of executives, building influence

Basic Qualifications

  • Min 5 years relevant experience in business analytics, strategic planning or similar field, preferably in travel industry
  • Understanding of business, consumer, and marketplace dynamics
  • Demonstrated strategic and analytical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision making of internal partners, leadership and external vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflict resolution
  • Excellent problem solving judgment
  • Proficient in project management and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and high intellectual curiosity
  • Familiarity with analytics data, economic indicators, market research and strategic planning
  • Solid analytical and technical skills, including strong knowledge of statistics and financial analysis
  • Aptitude for finding innovative and creative solutions
  • Strong communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills
  • Display attention to detail and commitment to excellent work product
  • Demonstrated expertise in use of excel and presentation software
  • Knowledge of statistical software (SAS) preferred
  • Solutions-oriented approach with ability to think strategically and act tactically
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment with a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to ask questions to gain understanding, partner with others, and effectively deal with differing points of view
  • Experienced and proficient in sharing point of view and advocating to positively influence business decisions
  • Ability to work well in fast-paced business environment, displaying professionalism and confidence in challenging situations
  • Strong understanding of multiple areas including visitation, marketing, sales, and finance with ability to integrate data from each
  • Demonstrated understanding of economic indicators, travel industry, financial results, and business performance metrics
  • Ability to identify and explain impact of metrics on business performance
  • Display ownership of projects, approaching work with energy and a results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to independently manage direct reporting relationships
  • Effectively prioritize, within scope of role, based on thorough understanding of business priorities

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in an analytic field of study
