Senior Project Manager - Supply Chain Engineering

Supply Chain Engineering is responsible for identifying, developing and implementing supply chain strategies and cost savings initiatives for the Walt Disney Company. This includes the facilitation and/or development of processes, tools and models that decrease total costs across the end to end supply chain while maintaining or increasing service levels supporting operations in the United States, China, Hong Kong, & Paris.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and implement end to end supply chain strategies for the Walt Disney Company Food and Beverage line of business through the use of databases, spreadsheets and crticial analysis focusing on efficiencies in service, Cast experience and cost
  • Develop and implement plans/process for sustainment of initiatives and best practices
  • Identify opportunites for continuous improvement leveraging root cause analysis
  • Work directly with LOB partners on optimizing business processes and/or developing models/tools that decrease end to end costs while increasing service levels
  • Lead optimization projects utilizing software applications such as SharePoint, JMP and Access along with other tools and processes
  • Provide data analysis support for studies/projects; present findings/recommendations to executive leadership
  • Assist with/facilitate identification of supply chain optimization opportunities, develop recommendations to close performance gaps, and implement. Includes the use of technology to streamline workload and improve data management

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years minimum experience in Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Strong analytical ability, conceptual thinking, and creative problem solving skills.
  • Proven Project Management experience working with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with databases and use of programs such as Excel, Access, SQL Server
  • Experience creating presentations using software such as Powerpoint or Key Note
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business results
  • Experience presenting to, and influencing, executive leadership
  • Ability to partner and work effectively in a global environment
  • Strong influencing and partnering skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Experience with programming languages
  • Experience using SAS
  • Experience using Visual Basic
  • Supply Chain certificates/continuing education (CSCMP, APICS, other)
  • Data management training/certifications

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent

Preferred Education

  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
