The Revenue Management & Analytics Data Integration (DI) team is responsible for supporting clients across The Walt Disney Company including Parks and Resorts, Media Networks (e.g., ABC, ESPN, etc.), Studio Entertainment (The Walt Disney Studios, Disney Theatrical) and Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media. The team leverages technology and data analytics to support optimization and modeling that shape business decisions and drive business value. Data Integration seeks forward-thinking team members who are passionate about delivering quality results and enjoy working closely with key partners on both strategic and tactical challenges. Candidates should have a natural curiosity to understand the "why" behind business performance, take a proactive role in problem-solving, be results oriented, be able to prioritize and be a team player in a collaborative environment.

As a Manager on the Technical Analytics Systems Team, you will lead the analysis, development and implementation of advanced analytic engines for Disney Media Networks and other Disney segments. This role will require a strong computing background, a systems mindset, excellent analytical and quantitative skills, and the ability to deliver creative solutions to complex problems.


Your Role:
  • Lead a team of technical resources that analyzes and drives implementation of analytical systems that improve business results.
  • Provide technical leadership to the team for delivering and maintaining front-end/UI and back-end systems. This includes partnering with internal and external technology vendors.
  • Provide recommendations for tools, technologies, and platforms for new requirements.
  • Partner with Decision Science team to integrate data science advancements into end-to-end solutions.
  • Partner with Disney and external Technology teams to manage on-site and cloud platforms.
  • Partner with Data and Technology teams to establish scalable, efficient, and automated data processes.
  • Manage the Software Development Lifecycle using both waterfall and agile processes.

Basic Qualifications

What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum three years leading technical teams
  • Minimum five years of software development experience
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and implement new technology platforms, tools and solutions to meet upcoming business needs
  • Experience working with complex and large volumes of data; understanding of databases and query language
  • Excellent problem-solving, design, and development skills
  • Experience with source control and release strategies
  • Willingness and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business environments and managing multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

How You Stand Out:
  • Minimum five years leading technical teams
  • Minimum two years of experience with Python
  • Development background for both backend and frontend, including languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Spark, PDP. Also REST and SOAP services.
  • Experience with SAS
  • Experience deploying to AWS, Azure or other Cloud based providers
  • Statistical and data science knowledge and experience
  • Experience with media, marketing, sales, or digital business functions
  • Experience with visualization concepts and libraries
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies
  • Experience with project management tools such as Wrike, Jira, MS Project, or others

Required Education

  • Bachelors in a technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.

Preferred Education

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a quantitative field, or equivalent
