Position is responsible for researching, collecting, tracking, and reporting on data for and from WDPR Safety Audit Programs. Work includes the collection of external data streams, managing internal data streams, and performing analysis of encompassed data to detect significant trends and/or system gaps. This position will be responsible for the interrogation of data streams from partner groups to develop data analytics for these streams in combination with, and in comparison to, internal data. A component of their responsibilities will include the developing of detailed and executive summary reports on these analyses for decision making and trend/gap detection. This position will also support the Worldwide Safety & Health Auditing Team by helping to develop strategies and studies which assure statistically successful metrics as well as support the team through developing algorithms and programs to ease data extraction, compilation, and analysis.

Responsibilities

The Safety Auditor is responsible for
  • Compilation and maintenance of internal audit databases for audit planning and after action reports
  • Integration of data streams from external and internal Disney organizations for complementary and contrasting analysis and reporting
  • Historical data integration, analysis and trending of Disney business systems such as Maximo, SAP, STITCH, Safe D Check, etc.
  • Routine and ad-hoc report development for active audit processes as well as historical data sources including trending and cross functional analysis
  • Development of metrics on safety efficacy to aid in understanding and managing operational processes and practices

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ year proven track record in data analysis and report generation.
  • roven ability to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions.
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL etc.), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to be accurate and vigilant in analysis to quickly come to appropriate conclusions.
  • Proven experience with MS Office Suite; expert status in Excel including Pivot Tables and Charts as well as statistical functions and the automation of data manipulation processes.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex data relationship in concise and straight forward presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in safety projects with a proven track record of increasing responsibility.
  • Experience with Disney preferably with parks and resorts
  • Proven history with SharePoint, SAP and Maximo.
  • Proven history of data management and manipulation preferable related to a technical environment
  • Proven history with working closely with operational processes and/or lines of business
  • Demonstrated history of presentation development and/or editing
  • Proven history of indirect personnel leadership including proven ability to resolve technical content conflicts

Required Education

  • BS in technical field including but not limited to Data Analysis, Engineering, Safety and Health.

Preferred Education

  • MS/MBA in technical field including but not limited to Data Analysis, Engineering, Safety and Health
