Be a part of the team that supports the Walt Disney Parks & Resorts operations by improving the development and delivery of the systems that help create magical experiences for our Guests. As a Senior Systems Technical Specialist with WDW Design & Engineering you’ll be implementing and securing the attractions backend systems and existing computer-based attractions systems located throughout the Walt Disney World property and Disney Cruise Line.


  • Responsible for enterprise / domain level implementation and support of the WDPR attractions Active Directory and VM environment.
  • Responsible for hardware support of all backend infrastructure consisting of HP server class hardware and multiple SAN systems.
  • Responsible for system upgrades, migrations, and growth planning for both OS and SAN space.
  • Responsible for vulnerability management across multiple OS environments.

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrated excellent communications skills with the ability to interface with and coordinate work within a team environment and between multiple groups.
  • Experienced with Enterprise Server/Storage/Network hardware and OS maintenance
  • Ability to perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required as well as configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
  • Working knowledge of shell scripting.
  • Installation, support, and monitoring of WDPR virtual farms using VMware vCenter.
  • Experience in packaging applications for deployment.
  • Demonstrated experience in network setup, troubleshooting and the use of network diagnostic test equipment.
  • Minimum of 5 years support of Windows Active Directory support. 3+ years in large scale environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of system networking and network troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of firewall configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Industry Certification (SEC+, CCNA, MCSA-Windows Server)

Required Education

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology studies or equivalent four-year technical degree.
