The Data Integration team provides analytical consulting support to a number of business units across The Walt Disney Company, including Media Networks, Parks and Resorts, Studio Entertainment, Consumer Products and Interactive Media.


Responsibilities

This individual will be part of a team that is supporting the development and implementation of advertising sales support tools for ESPN, ABC and Disney Media Networks.

As a member of the Data Integration team, this individual will be responsible for building data visualization tools, UI design and the integration of data output into business intelligence tools that drive actionable insight and improved business decisions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with programming HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with jQuery, XML, JSON, and AJAX
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail
  • Experience with collecting and visualizing data
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • ​Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior web based UI development experience

  • Experience writing SQL

  • Familiarity with SAS tools, coding and functionality (e.g. SAS EG, Stored Processes, SAS Macros, etc.)

  • Familiarity with application architecture and design patters (e.g., MVC, singleton, observer, etc…)

  • Experience generating technical documentation, flow diagrams and user requirements

Required Education

Junior, Senior or Graduate Level Student, or recent graduate (within 6 months of the internship start date) working towards or having received a degree in: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or similar

Additional Information

Internship Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall), or have graduated within the last 6 months prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship

  • Not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) College or Professional Internship Programs

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization

  • Must provide full work availability

  • Must provide own transportation to/from work

  • Current Active Disney Cast Members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World Cast Members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland Cast Members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)

Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are June 2017 through January 2018.

Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.

Housing: A limited amount of company-sponsored housing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
