As an Ager/Grainer you will be responsible to perform the preparation of surfaces prior to the application of paints and coatings to the interior and exterior of buildings. - Use painting, coating, and aging and graining techniques to complete work on building and furniture in the field and on special projects
- Duplicate different wood grains, marble and other similar appearances
Basic Qualifications:
- You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
- Experience painting and burning surfaces to create the appearance of age, deterioration, and usage
- Experience safely using common craft tools - brushes, rollers, mixers, spray equipment, plaster and patching trowels, sanders, ladders, etc.
- Experience with sanding, scraping, cleaning, patching of walls, caulking of dissimilar joints and areas of windows, doors and trim
- Experience erecting scaffolding, ladders or other equipment to meet safety standards for working at higher levels
- Experience measuring surfaces to determine paint and material needs for a given area
- Knowledge of mixing colors, tinting, toning and blending to match an existing painted/colored surface using the proper type of paint, such as latex or oil base paint or stains
- Ability to coordinate and work cohesively with other skilled artisans of various building trades
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous ager and graining experience
- 5 to 10 years of industrial painting experience
Additional Information:
SCHEDULE AVAILABILTYOur Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; Shifts may start as early as 5:00 AM, while some may end as late as 5:00 AM.
This role is Full Time and requires full availability, including working evenings, weekends and holidays when needed.

The pay rate for this role in California is $32.76 to $44.76 per hour, which follows the pay scale agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
