Candy Maker - Part Time

Job Summary:

Do you have a passion for crafting sweet treats? As a Candy Maker at the Disneyland® Resort, we craft creative confectionary treats from scratch in our production kitchens. We produce items such as caramel apples, English Toffee and Peanut Brittle all while bringing this experience to life for our Guests in our show kitchens!

Responsibilities:

  • Work in close proximity to other "Cast Members" in a small show kitchen or backstage production kitchen
  • Use heavy kitchen equipment to produce various homemade candies by hand
  • Prepare apples for dipping and decorating, which can include: washing, drying and placing sticks in the apples; dipping, rolling and decorating apples in a variety of products
  • Temper chocolate in designated machine for dipping strawberries, marshmallows and other items
  • Produce mass quantities of treats with a consistent look and quality
  • Wash dishes in compliance with Health Department guidelines. Clean work stations throughout shift to adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines

Basic Qualifications:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
  • The ability to complete repetitious tasks while maintaining quality and meeting efficiency standards
  • Ability to produce a large volume of quality candy products
  • Comfortability working with equipment that could reach temperatures over 300°F
  • Comfortability working in a kitchen with exposure to dairy and nut products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working in an industrial food kitchen
  • Experience tempering and dipping chocolate
  • Proven experience decorating apples/candy treats

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am.
