Culinary Banquets - Pantry - Full Time

Job Summary:

Are you ready to use your culinary skills in an innovative and high-volume environment? Then apply today for our hourly Pantry role, where you will be a part of our Banquets team to create magic in every plate by collaborating in a dynamic environment that celebrates innovation and excellence!

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring food is cooked to proper standards
  • Cleans kitchen equipment and practices all HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) procedures
  • Prepares, measures, mixes, (follows recipes) and/or cooks basic appetizers (hot/cold), garnishes, salads, entrees, sandwich fillings, and other food items
  • Works with ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, steam kettles, blenders, mixers, and slicers
  • Washes, slices, and peels vegetables and fruits
  • Carves and slices deli meats and chesses
  • Produces Garde Manger work for banquets and restaurants
  • Portions and arranges food on serving dishes and is responsible for portion control and plate presentation
  • Prepares sandwiches to individual order or on a production line basis
  • Cooks, mixes, and seasons ingredients to make dressings, batters, fillings, and spreads
  • Slices, bakes, broils, cooks, fries, and steams food items as required to complete assigned production

Basic Qualifications:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
  • Passion for culinary and delighting our Guests with food for an unforgettable Disney culinary experience!
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in culinary field with a focus on high volume restaurant production
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience required with less than 2-3 years of experience
  • Proficient knife skills
  • Proven knowledge of culinary techniques and terminology
  • Proven ability to read and understand recipes
  • Organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Speed, accuracy, and efficiency are required
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to production requirements in a very fast paced team environment

Preferred Education:

  • Culinary degree or culinary certificate

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.

The pay rate for this role in California is $25.50 per hour.
