Hotel Order/Grill Cook - Full Time

Job Summary:

Are you ready to use your culinary skills in an innovative and high-volume environment? Hotel Culinary Table Service creates magic at our impressive resort hotel casual restaurants by ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence!

Hourly opportunities may include:

• Hotel Order/Grill Cook

Responsibilities:

• Prepares, fries, grills, broils, and sautés and cooks all breakfast items- including but not limited to bacon, French toast, eggs (any style), sausage, hash browns, pancakes, and waffles
• Prepares meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, hamburgers/sandwiches, and French fries
• Prepares exhibition omelets, pastas, sandwiches, and pizzas
• May be assigned as attendant at a carving station
• May be assigned complex garde manger work for banquets
• Assist dinner cook with production of food for restaurants and banquets
• May replenish food displays
• Responsible for ensuring food is cooked to proper standards
• Uses the following equipment, included but not limited to: Gas range, electric range, broiler, deep fat fryer, serving table, refrigeration, waffle iron, griddle, and other standard kitchen equipment

Basic Qualifications:

• You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
• Passion for culinary and delighting our Guests with food for an unforgettable Disney culinary experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in culinary field with a focus on high volume restaurant production
• If less than 2 years of experience, culinary degree or equivalent experience required
• Proficient knife skills
• Proven knowledge of culinary techniques and terminology
• Proven ability to read and understand recipes
• Organizational skills; Ability to multitask and work in a very fast paced team environment
• Speed, accuracy, and efficiency are required and ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to adapt to production requirements

Preferred Education:

• Culinary degree or culinary certificate

SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am, or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.

The pay rate for this role in California is $27.00 per hour.
