Responsibilities:

As the Transportation Engineering and Maintenance Services Laborer you will perform planned maintenance, provide support to other crafts, and ensure that our Attractions, shops, and other Backstage areas are clean and ready for operation. Additional responsibilities may include cleaning and maintaining Attractions, waterways, and other assigned areas as well as maintaining railroad track, ties, switches, and gravel ballast.

Material Handling:

  • Deploy sandbags, water pumps, hoses, and fans for flood control, waterway projects, and water leaks
  • Deliver and move tables and chairs for Cast/Guest events
  • Deliver barricades to support painting efforts
  • Take items to Property Control and Lost and Found
  • Flip Attraction boats when removed and stored for projects
  • Move furniture and equipment when requested
  • Move 3D glasses for Attractions
  • Empty trash, metal, and other waste bins

Park Maintenance and Cleaning:

  • Maintain water levels
  • Lubricate the Main Street streetcar track
  • Clean waterways and flumes
  • Clean drink carts
  • Spread decomposed granite
  • Clean automotive bays and pits
  • Respond to calls for assistance by Park Operations and Maintenance teams
  • Environmental clean-up
  • Use computerized maintenance management system (Maximo) to receive work instructions
  • Monitor a radio for calls and respond
  • Confirm reservations when groups borrow equipment
  • Store, inventory, and maintain equipment

Attraction Responsibility:

  • Clean all waterways and dispose of dirt
  • Clean flume, animation, and pond areas
  • Clean track and ride path areas
  • Help other trades with their work when/if needed
  • Perform weekly, monthly, and annual planned maintenance
  • Replace railroad track components
  • Maintain railroad track profile

Basic Qualifications:

Technical Abilities:

  • Possess a valid Driver’s License
  • Able to operate a variety of forklifts
  • Safely drive company vehicles day and night; both trucks and tug-type vehicles pulling trailers
  • Safely use dollies, pallet jacks, and related equipment
  • Operate a floor scrubber
Must have the experience and abilities to perform the duties listed under "Responsibilities" above.

Schedule Availability:
  • Must be open to any shift (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift) including holidays, with any combination of days off


Additional Information:

Laborers involved in Transportation Engineering and Maintenance Services are required to attend an annual Hearing Conservation Training class, Respiratory Protection Training class and a Lead Awareness class. They are also required to submit to an annual medical evaluation, fit test. Audiometric exam and a semi-annual Lead/Zinc blood test.

SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; Shifts may start as early as 5:00 AM, while some may end as late as 5:00 AM.

The pay rate for this role in California is $26.00 per hour.
