Job Summary:

Laundry Specialist Seniors have passion for creating magic for our Guests during their Walt Disney World Resort stays by ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness & Guest Service! In this position, we are dedicated to safely supporting the cleaning and storage of floor mats and other items like costumes, linens, and specialty items. This role also conducts inventory.

The pay rate for this role in Florida is $18.25 per hour.

Responsibilities:

As Laundry Specialist Seniors, we may work in multiple locations/facilities and are assigned a combination of duties. We support the processing, cleaning, and maintenance of floor mats as well as the delivery and pick-up of clean and soiled mats. In this job, we work independently while performing duties such as reviewing weekly inventory and entering information into a computer database, managing and resolving order discrepancies, and performing other miscellaneous duties while working in a fast paced, large-volume, culturally diverse environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • A valid US Driver’s License is required
  • Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally in English about floor mat orders and deliveries with clients as well as answer Guest questions
  • Computer proficiency while navigating through multiple computer applications
  • Physical role requiring frequent lifting up to 40 lbs. as well as pushing and pulling up to 80 lbs
  • Prolonged standing and walking in outdoor settings during all weather conditions
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle such a cargo van and box truck
  • Receptive to operating a pallet jack
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
  • Full Time requires FULL Availability every day of the week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Part Time requires full availability for any shift, any THREE (3) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Part Time Cast Members will work between 0 hour to 24 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual preferred
  • Prior Laundry experience or work in a large volume production environment
  • Team Player
  • Quality conscious
  • Ability to maneuver metros in and out of work area
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to perform in a non-controlled temperature environment

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
