Do you have passion for both chocolate-making and Guest service? If so, the Ganachery at Disney Springs is hiring for a Chocolatier!In this role, we connect our guiding principles and the Guest experience with the Boutique feel of our Ganachery. We not only make chocolate confections from scratch in our onstage production kitchen, but also participate in tastings and engagements with our Guests, leading to a uniquely Disney experience. As Chocolatiers, we introduce our Guests to an entirely new way of experiencing the natural indulgence of chocolate.
The pay rate for this role in Florida is $25.50 per hour.

Responsibilities:
- Temper chocolate accurately for different applications or desired characteristics
- Molding, sculpting, enrobing, carving, and decorating
- Create all types of molded or hand-crafted confections
- Understanding of the science from bean to bar
- Artistic and creative ability to create high-end chocolate products
- Use strong passion and social skills to implement “sales through service” techniques as we guide Guests through their chocolate purchase experience
- Focus on a high level of Guest Service and possess a professional image onstage
- Work under pressure and handle high-profile projects
- Process Guest orders accurately through a point-of-sale system (POS register) including counting money, making change, and processing credit card transactions
Basic Qualifications:
- Demonstrates knowledge of HACCP, basic food temperatures, proper food handling, and good judgment of quantity, quality, and production
- Knowledge of raw materials, origin, production processes, quality control, cost, and other techniques for improving the effective manufacture and distribution or display of goods
- Exhibits clean work habits and ownership of a safe, clean work area
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment, basic tools, small wares, culinary techniques, and ingredients specialized to that location
- Technical knowledge (equipment, tempering of chocolate, crystallization, storage, shelf life)
- Handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required
- Working in an on-stage production kitchen
- Good conversational communication skills are required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior recent experience working with chocolate and/or candy making/confections in a bakery, restaurant, or retail setting
- Culinary/Pastry Certificate, Associates, or Bachelors
- Be Serve Safe certified
- Bilingual preferred
