Working in Food and Beverage at our Disneyland® Resort Hotels, you will have the opportunity to make lasting impressions in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment!
The Disneyland® Resort Hotel Convention Set-Up Cast Members are responsible for setting up event and convention spaces, staging convention dining spaces, and ensuring cleanliness of event spaces before, during and after the event.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for setting up banquet event space according to banquet event order forms and event contracts
- Obtain, assemble, and arrange tables and chairs, risers, podiums, lecterns, pianos, and dance floors for Banquet events
- Read and interpret blueprints and banquet event order forms to ensure correct placement and arrangement
- Adjust air walls and other meeting room equipment as necessary
- Stage and plate silverware, glassware, and all table accoutrements for event in designated lay down area
- May assist with placement of event materials and/or favors at Guest place settings or seats
- Vacuum, dust, mop, and perform general cleaning in meeting and event rooms
- Assist kitchen staff with transport of all food product to and from the event area
- Gather all necessary materials/equipment for event operations
- Segregate and remove trash, garbage, and cardboard from kitchen or prep area
- Maintain and operate Park Banquet vehicles
- Lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds of equipment constantly throughout shift
Basic Qualifications:
- You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
- 1+ year experience working in Banquets, event set up, or construction environment
- 1+ year of customer or guest service experience
- Willing to take initiative to actively greet and welcome Guests
- Comfortable working independently with limited supervision and direction
- Comfortable working a physically demanding role for 8+ hours a day
- Flexibility and willingness to jump in when necessary
- Sense of urgency and desire to work efficiently without sacrificing quality
- Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience within a luxury hotel environment
- 1+ year of experience within an upscale, table-service dining environment
- Bilingual
Additional Information:
SCHEDULE AVAILABILITYOur Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Scheduling will require availability to work weekends, holidays, and have a flexible schedule when business requires.
